Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - October 2024 Edition

Hello!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made this month!  I've been super busy with work and election activities so my crafty time has been limited.  I made one card this month but it's a fun one!

You know I love the quarterly subscription box from Your Paper Insider!  This month's box has some fabulous papers but also a fun surprise!  It comes with a sheet of adorable images from artist Kim Mraz of Paper Smooches fame!  I used one of them here and all of the papers are from the box as well.

I used some Paper Smooches dies from my stash and the images come with a few sentiments too and guess what!  You can add foil with your laminator or foil machine like the Fuse!

I added some snowy hills with Ink on 3 white ink and fabulous WOW embossing powder.

That's me for today!  Now be sure to head on over to Debra and Michael's places to see what they've created for today!

Thank you so much for stopping and I hope you'll come back again soon!

Wow Embossing Powder - June 2024 Release

Welcome! I'm so excited because today I'm joining WOW Embossing Powder & Seth Apter to celebrate their latest release of fabulous Mixed Media Embossing Powders! The Design Team and special Guests are each sharing inspiration using this gorgeous new release and you’re invited to join the party!

WOW are generously offering THREE lucky winners the entire June 2024 release, and you can get all of the details on how to enter further down this post. First, here's how I was inspired:

I started with the Building Blocks quad... these powders are really great basics that you can use on any project... I used all of them to decorate this box!

I started by painting the top and bottom, flowers, frame and bird then used the Mixed Media brush to apply embossing ink to the frame, flowers and box, added the Building Blocks powders, heat and ... awesomeness! I also used some Poppin' Pink for the flowers.

The bird and flourishes were die cut from cardstock and then I just smooshed them onto the Wow Embossing Pad for full coverage, added the powder and heated.  For the little flowers-they were already pink, so I just added a little ink with the brush and added just a bit of powder to those.

I love using embossing powder on my 3D projects!

I'm going to put some cash inside this box and maybe a little trinket or two for my niece's graduation party this summer!

And these colors from the Citrus quad!!  Heart Eyes!  I created a fun summery shaker card with these.

I started by creating the background with a Sun Burst stencil and then added embossing ink to the entire panel and embossed it with the Kiwi Gold powder.

I embossed that fun sentiment using the Kiwi Gold, Tomato and Rusty powders for an ombre look.  I embossed the frame with the Rusty and put my shaker card together!

I mean... WOW!  Right?  Love these new Seth Apter powders!

And there are giveaways!

Happy Bird-day with Miss Ink Stamps

I'm back with some more embossing and watercolor with some beautiful images from Miss Ink Stamps.

I started by stamping and embossing the foliage and flowers onto some watercolor paper and smooshed on some Distress Oxides in blues and greens.  Then I colored the images further using my Zig markers and splattered over some turquoise and gold inks.

Next I stamped, cut and colored the birds and butterflies and colored them in with Copics and popped them up onto the background and added a sentiment and some sequins.

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it and you'll come back again soon.

Miss Ink Stamps Release - Bear and Bunny In The Rain

Hello!  Excited to share another card today with another peek at one of two new stamps from Miss Ink in the Bear and Bunny line that will be available in the shop Saturday!

Also added in one of my new fave die sets, the Hi Swirl Frame along with some of the flowers in the set.

I started with a gel print and added a little foil in Turquoise Sea... not a lot stuck to the print, but just on the edges... and I think just enough.  I stamped the entire stamp in Wow embossing ink and embossed in Gold Fine embossing powder.  Then I stamped, colored and cut out just Bear and Bunny and popped them up over the top of their embossed images.  I also filled the sun in with some gold gel pen... and discovered that the extra pieces from that Swirl Frame are raindrop shaped as well as the leaves from the flowers so I added a few to the front as gold raindrops.

I am in love with these adorable critters and so excited about this release!  Be sure to head on over to the Miss Ink Stamps IG account to comment for your chance to win for each day of sneak peeks!

Come back soon for more!

Hippo Birdie To You - Miss Ink stamps

Happy Friday!  I've got some Hippo Hooray from Miss Ink Stamps for you today!

I used the Ins and Outs Quatrefoil again along with Random Dots and Tiny Snowfall for the background.  I used embossing paste for the gold dots and embossed them in WOW Clear Gold Glitter and just added a few images from Hippo Hooray and a birthday sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping!  Hope you'll come again soon and hoping to have some videos for you sometime soon.  Now that tax season is over I should have more time for that again... you can consider it something to look forward to or a warning...lol!

Come again soon!

Miss Ink Stamps - Calm and Bright Woodcut Floral

I have some more Woodcut Floral for you today!  I made lots of those pretty florals so for this one, I added them over a plaid gel print that I created with some acrylic paints and the Candy Stripe stencil!

I used some Rubbernecker Stamps dies - Mini Slimline Stitched, Scalloped Mini Slimline and Small Tags for the card base and sentiment tag.

I just repositioned the stripes on my Gel Press to create the plaid!

This time I used a sentiment from the Calm & Bright stamp set.

That's me for today!  Thanks so much for stopping and please do come again soon!
