Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #91

I've been busy with Valentines today.  The large card is my submission for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

I have been enjoying the Heartstrings paperpack and now I finally broke down and bought the Workshop on the Go and I LOVE the stamp set that comes with it.  I've yet to make the cards in the workshop...lol... but I have been stamping away with the stamp set that came with it.  I was going to make a couple mini cards/tags and cut two of the heart cutouts from Artfully Sent at not quite 3" tall and when I went to create them I decided to use one as it was and cut the other and use it on a larger card.  This cartridge is so flexible.

Thanks for stopping by and check out all of the other fantastic cards at the Atlantic Hearts Challenge Blog!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #90

Didn't think I'd get a chance to create this week.  My boys are in for a visit and I'm spending all the time with them I can before they go back East.  Last night they had a boys' night with my husband and brother and I spent a little time in my scraproom watching Greys Anatomy on Netflix and creating...

This is my take on this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I have a collected a basket of items that are extras.  When I'm creating sometimes I might stamp something or cut something from my cricut or a piece of ribbon or a bauble that lost it's glue and I throw it in a basket.  I decided it was time to use some of that up.  The card is one I cut from the Artfully Sent quite a while ago and never used; the large sparkly heart was one I got from my niece... a foam piece that she handed out to everyone one night; and the glitter swirlies at the ends of the sentiment were cut from a frame I tried to cut for a previous card, but part of it didn't cut all the way through and it was easier just to cut it again from the glitter paper... I think I'll challenge myself this month and next to use at least one piece from that basket each time I create.  Let's see if I can use more than I add to it...lol!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #89

 (
Here is my entry for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this week.  A girl at work is celebrating 40 Years!!!!  She is definitely one of my favorite people and I'm so glad she is still there so I got to know her.

I used the Free To Be Me paper pack and all of the cuts are from Artfully Sent.  The card was meant to be a 5x7, but I wanted it to be a square card so when I cut the inside part of the pop-up card I trimmed off the bottom (also trimming off the sentiment that didn't fit for this card).  Then I just cut the outside piece about a quarter of an inch bigger than the inside.  All of the other cuts for the pop-up card remained the same.

Three Amigos Mini Blog Hop January

Welcome to the January Three Amigos Mini Blog Hop!  We are three Close to My Heart Consultants and great friends and each month we challenge ourselves and each other to create something.  This month's "challenge" was to use any kind of embossing on any kind of project.  Needed a masculine card so I chose the Pathfinding paper pack and went to work.  I was planning on doing much embossing but my finished project was much different than my plan.  I used the Chevron Embossing Folder from CTMH for some background texture and the little Bug car from the Artfully Sent CTMH Cricut cartridge.  I just LOVE my new Cricut Explore and it was so easy to cut this little guy out.  I used some gold sequins and punched holes in gold shimmer trim for the center.  A little bit of liquid glass and I made myself some headlights!  Thanks so much for stopping by and now move on to Donna's blog to see what she has created for you!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #88

Happy New Years to All!!

My first project for the new year is my entry for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I was so busy these last few weeks I didn't have any time to play with the December Stamp of the Month, Cutie Pie.  It is SO cute and even though the month is over, I decided I needed to use it.  The paper is Heartstrings which is in the new Seasonal Expressions Seasonal Idea Book.  I cut the frame from Artiste using Glitter Paper on my new Cricut Explore!!!  (Love!!)  I liked the layout so much I decided to use it with the January Stamp of the Month, This Moment.

Another cute set good for any kind of Love themed scrapbook pages or cards including Valentines Day, Anniversaries, or Just Because.  I stamped one of the arrows on the back of the Glitter Paper and cut it out (the one with the feather on the end) and mounted it where the arrow is on the "My Aim is True" sentiment.  I used a heart puffy in the center of the bullseye.  I also framed the bullseye with more glitter paper whcih is actually the circle cut from the center of the frame.  Before I mounted that one I punched a large circle out of the center of it so I could make it go even further.  Hope you got your Cutie Pie set while you could and if not, don't let This Moment slip away..... get it for ONLY $5 with a purchase of $50.
