Lucky Duck! - Miss Ink Stamps

I had this idea and couldn't wait to get it on a card!  I was lucky to get to play with some new products from Thermoweb!  Those awesome Rainbow Toner Card Fronts are all ready to add some deco foil to and I thought... why not green??  The Glittery Green from Gina K is one of my favorite foils.   It's a non-traditional St. Patrick's Day card and I love it!

I used one of the ducks from the Firetruck Duck stamp set from Miss Ink along with the fun alpha from Trinity Stamps and a frame from Reverse Confetti!  A few four leaf clovers and done!

Stay tuned for some more fun rainbows and be sure to check out all of the new stuff over at Thermoweb!

Thanks for stopping!  Hope you enjoyed it and you come again soon!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series - March 2019

Welcome to the March 2019 Plan Your Life Series over at Paper Sweeties!  I've made a couple fun layouts in my planner for my very busy March!  I'm gonna need a lot of luck to get it all done...lol!  Plus it's tax season!!  So I've got quite a few four leaf clovers from last month's All Occasions stamp set!

I've used lots of green in this layout... the sweet flowers from the Hello Spring stamps and dies were perfect with the clovers and that rainbow from Somewhere Over The Rainbow... it's just pretty isn't it?  And I just happened to have that sun from Island Time laying on my table waiting to be used... it was just right!

My printable pages come without the weekday names printed on them.. love the Everyday Basics set ... I can add my weekdays when I want!

I had fun mixing and matching papers for this one... I wanted there to be a lot of green, but not just green and I love the way it turned out!

And notice the pretty scallops in plaid and stripes??  I'm playing along over at Mod Squad Challenges and this week the challenge is Stripes!  You should definitely check it out!

Before you do that though... hop on over to these places and see what all of the girls are up to:

Cutting Cafe Inspiration - Shadow Box Cards!

Welcome to this edition of Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  Today we're playing with the Shadow Card File and I've used that and lots more today!  Lots of photos because it's almost two cards in one...lol!  I decided to go with a bit of a St. Patrick's Day theme...and Regina has a bunch of files in the shop that are good for this... you can find some of them here and a bunch more here!!

And for the Shadow Card itself, the wow is on the inside!  This card is so cool because it lays flat when it's closed but then you get this great pop up shadow box when you open it!  I used papers from the Authentique Charmed paper pad that I purchased last year... you may still be able to find one... if you do, pick it up because it's fantastic!

I started with the Lucky To Know You Overlay... I resized it so that it would fit inside my scalloped die cut background.  I got super lucky that it fit inside the stitched frame as well!  It gave me plenty of room to add some wider popup tape to create a shaker!

I used a few dies from my stash as well to decorate using "lucky" as the theme... and lots of sequins from my stash from all kinds of places!

Another cool thing about this Shadow Card File is the window pieces also come in a Circle shape (which has cool circle shaped sentiment frames!) and a heart shape.  So many possibilities!  Perfect to add a shaker on the inside if you wanted!  There is a fantastic video that you should watch before you start... so helpful and made this quite easy to put together.  You can find that at the bottom of the page where you'll find this file... right here!

I used a sweet sentiment from the Authentique paper pad... perfect wish to send to a friend that you are Lucky To Know.

And a view so you can see the depth this adds!  I can't wait to see what you create using this file!

I'm playing along over at Simon Says Stamp's Work it Wednesday... it's all about Green and Gold!  I've got that covered!  And I'm also linking up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which is No Stamps Allowed... I didn't use any... not one!  I'm also playing along with the Doodles Paper Playground #showmeyourshaker contest on Instagram!  You can find info about the contest on their blog here!

That's me for today!  Be sure to head on over to the Cutting Cafe Blog to see what my teamies have created for you today and comment there for your chance to win one of three files of your choice!  And please be sure to tag me should you use this file so I can see how you use it!

Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope to see you again soon!

Paper Sweeties February 2019 New Release Party!

Welcome to the Release Party for Paper Sweeties February 2019 Release!  The new sets are available for purchase in the shop right now!   For today I used the four leaf clover in the new All Occasions Stamp Set to create this background along with a couple other sets!

For this one the single heart came from the Get Your Craft On Planner Set and the spray of floaty hearts are from the Somewhere Over The Rainbow set.  I made this background similar to yesterday's except this time I used my Zig Clean Color Markers to color in the clovers!

And I thought this sentiment from Home Is Where The Heart Is was perfect!  Of course I used some more of those sweet flowers from the Hello Spring set and more Nuvo Drops for the centers.

I'm playing along with a couple challenges!  Double Trouble is all about the Flowers this time around and you have a couple days left to play along.  Hey Twisty.... Blessings starts with a B!  And I'm also playing along with the Green/Gold Work It Wednesday over at Simon Says Stamp!  This is a new one to me but you should check it out!  And The Outlawz Twisted Thursday has a twist of Flowers!  So I've got it covered!

Thanks for stopping!  Now be sure to head on over to my teamies places and check out what they've got for you today:

Paper Sweeties Blast From The Past March 2018

Happy St. Patrick's Day and welcome to the March 2018 edition of Paper Sweeties-Blast From The Past!  We're sharing projects made with previously released Paper Sweeties products this month and for today I wanted to create something green to celebrate the day!  I used the beautiful Authentique papers that I've been using for all of my St. Patrick's Day cards including one of the sentiments included in the 6x6 paper pad.

I created these fun four leaf clovers using the heart dies from the Be Happy Sweet Cuts set.  There are two sizes of hearts and I cut 8 of the small and 4 of the large and then glued them together to make a clover.  Love how they turned out!

I cut a frame using the Square Scallop Frames Sweet Cuts from the Design Papers and flipped the inside square around for just a little contrast.  I chose my sentiment from the papers and then since it was so dark, I matted it with a very light piece from the papers.

I especially love these smaller clovers and these white paper flowers from my stash were perfect to lighten up the card and were just right as clover blooms.  A few of my favorite Gold Sequins scattered around and I was done!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to check out what everyone is sharing for today!  Come back tomorrow for more fun!

Coffee Is My Pot of Gold

I know what you're thinking!  Coffee again?  Yes... I just had to share another card using the Verve digi sets Irish Coffee and Lucky Day sets!  There is a sale going on right now over at Verve and a couple challenges that I'm playing along with.

I had the idea right after I finished my last card using this set to create a foiled background with the four leaf clover in the Irish Coffee set.  I just took the digi, pulled it into word, made it the size I wanted and then copy and pasted it, turning the clover every which way.  I tried to keep them around the same distance apart, but made sure that I varied the direction the stems were going in so that it looked more random.

I printed that out using my laser printer on some white cardstock, die cut it with a Waffle Flowers Scalloped die, and then placed a piece of that beautiful Gina K Designs Gold Sequins foil over it and ran it through my Minc machine.  Voila!  It turned out just how I was hoping!

I had printed out both sets in pdf form the other day, so I chose this sentiment, die cut it with a circle die and then ran that through the Minc as well.  That Gold Sequin foil is just sooo cool and looks different at every angle.  I original had one larger green circle behind my scalloped circle here, but it covered up more of my clover than I wanted covered so I decided to leave it out... turns out I didn't need it at all!

Then I colored and cut out the clover and to go cup from the Lucky Day set, tied some ribbon around and embellished it with the cut out digis, some flowers and a few Doodlebug Sprinkles in green.

I think you're starting to understanding that I've fallen in love with my Minc and I'm finding a new love for digital stamps.  I will always love my physical, touchable, smellable, real life stamps, but I LOVE all of the extra stuff I can do with the digis now since I got a laser printer and my Minc.  Very excited!

So, as I said, I'm playing along with some challenges!  I used the sketch from Viva La Verve for this month again... it's such a versatile sketch and it was perfect for this combo of stamps, dies, and "stuff".  I'm also playing along with the Verve March 2018 Inspirations Hop and Challenge.  Also, I'm adding this to the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Mixed Medium Challenge for this week!
