Paper Sweeties Challenge - October 2017 Anything Goes!

Welcome to the October 2017 Anything Goes Challenge at Paper Sweeties! Today I'm sharing with you my projects inspired by this awesomely beautiful and delicious photo.  Here's how I was inspired:

Got some sneak peeks in this one for you... wonder if you can tell what they are!  This inspiration photo is one of those I could just print and frame and possibly even eat...lol!  I could have called in sick and made stuff all day with the inspiration from it!  I made three tags all different.  It was so much fun putting together the images from the various stamps and dies to make these.

I love the sweet little leaves and this bushel basket of apples from the Stand Add On: Fall Harvest.  And that cute "little" pup from the Planner Series: Appointments.. he was the perfect size with these stamps!  And I topped it off with a bow using the most yummy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon in Creamsicle!  And the little vellum tag was cut using the Tags #1 Sweet Cuts.  Finished it off with some Latte sequins... LOVE!

And for this one... the Scalloped Circles make awesome Sunflowers!  And I used the Tags #1 set again and from the Planner Series: Fall Sentiments set I used the leaves and acorns!  Finished this one with my favorite gold sequins... YUM!

And last but sooo not my least favorite is this one using the Fall Sentiments Planner set, the Stand Add-On Fall Harvest and the Thankful stamps and dies for the pumpkin!   And for this one.. my other favorite Creamsicle sequins... I know ... I know... I have LOTS of favorites!

That's it for me for today!  How will you be inspired!  We sure hope you'll play along with us for a chance to win $25 of awesome stuff from the Paper Sweeties shop!

Now... be sure to check out what my Design Teammates have cooked up for you today and a big welcome to Jinny Newlin who is guesting with us this month!:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #231

Welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and another page of my mini scrapbook I created for my Sister In Law!  At this point, I've given her the album, but still have quite a few more layouts to go!  And at the end I'll have a quick post of the whole thing together.  Here I used the same Close To My Heart papers from a couple different retired packs and lots of die cut flowers from dies I got from Peachy Cheap.

And I think those cute word dies were from Peachy Cheap as well... borrowed those from my mom!

So there you have it!  Hope you'll play along with us this week!

Fabulous Foiling and Fluttering Away!

So!  The Fall 2017 Installment of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is finished.  You'll be able to tell because every card I make won't have coffee in it..lol!  But don't think you won't still see plenty here!  Most of my creations are caffeine fueled so there has to be some respect for the Java Gods in my crafty space!

I wound down yesterday by getting crafty with some friends.  I still had quite a few comments to make so I brought my laptop and just some stamps, paper and my watercolor pencils and brush.  Mostly I colored all day (and gabbed and laughed and learned how to do foil and made maybe 10 comments because the Wifi where we were was TERRIBLE!!) Anyway... that awesome background above, and that beautiful butterfly were a couple things I did while I was there...

I had cut a bunch of these Brutus Monroe butterflies out last week when I had the Brother Scan N Cut humming away.  I like to do that... when I have it out, I just stamp and cut all kinds of stuff.  So I took them with me yesterday and colored a few in some pretty colors ...  AND my friend Mare was so kind to bring her Minc and show us how to use the foil and not only is it super easy, but it's awesome!!  I brought some of the foil ready backgrounds with me like this one from Brutus Monroe and foiled away... was so lucky to have this one ready for this morning when I started this Retirement card for one of my lucky coworkers!

I used this sentiment for the card because very soon she will be able to... you know.. Do more of what makes her happy!  I added the CTMH sentiment to a piece of colored vellum and love it!  See that pretty bling?  That was also in my Brutus Monroe Inspiration Box .. they are so beautiful!!

I added some Wink of Stella to the wings for some added sparkle... as if there isn't enough sparkle & shine on this one.  I cut the Waffle Flower doily (one of my very favorite dies) in purple metallic and used some premade paper flowers in white, a very pretty and light orange and purple.  I cut some leaves from vellum using an MFT die and they were the perfect touch!

And this foil!!! Can you say awesome?  This background came foil ready in my Brutus Monroe What A Hoot Box.  I got some in the Butterfly one too, but this one was foiled and ready and perfect!

I am going to be doing this more often for sure!  We had so much fun and got so many ideas from Mare Hepp, Mary Twentyman and Jean Chaney that my mind is ready to explode!  This foil is called "Sequins" and it's pretty cool, right?  I'll be sharing more about this soon, but for now... just let your eyes take it in!

And I almost forgot to mention these awesome background layering dies from Waffle Flower... this is a 5x7 card ... !  The largest outside layer is 5x7.   I needed a larger card for this because a lot of people will be signing it so I was happy to finally crack these open and I think there might be more of this size card in my life now that I can have my stitched layers... 'cause a sewing machine ain't happenin' around here in the near future!

So that's that!  I know I've been neglecting my favorite places while commenting on over 1200 coffee posts, but I will be visiting you soon!!  With recaptcha rearing it's ugly head (if you don't know what that horror is, consider yourself lucky) it was taking me twice as long so I stuck with coffee hopping for last week and I'll be back to my regular visits tonight and this week so I will see you soon!   And I have some shopping on my list... you know... things Amy made me realize I needed during the hop (along with a few other enablers out there!) I appreciate all of my bloggy friends so much and thanks for your patience.  AND I will be picking the winners for the bracelets soon also... so hang onto your coffee cups!

Thanks for stopping by today and every other time you've stopped and hope to see you again soon!  Atlantic Hearts is this week and I'm guesting on the Coffee Lovers blog one more time this month!  Have a wonderful week!

Coffee Hop-Day 8-JessicaLynnOriginal Meets Newton

So it's almost time to wrap up the Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Bloghop!  I don't want to talk about it... so here's what I put together this morning:

As soon as I saw that cute coffee and yarn image from JLO, I knew it was going to be fun!!  So I was driving home last night thinking about how I might use it first and all of a sudden this kooky idea started to form.

I thought.. it gets chilly in the Fall... even here... big difference between 100 and 75!  And it's when our thoughts start to turn to warm blankets, slippers, and yes... trendy sweaters and boots.  And then I thought about Newton... because I wanted to use some Newton stamps before the end of the hop.. and I thought I bet he gets chilly too!  So what if it was starting to bug him and of course Newton is pretty smart... so he starts thinking... hmmm... a sweater would be quite awesome... but he knew he was going to need coffee for this great undertaking!

Next day... there he is... in his beautiful sweater he knit with the help of his good friend, Coffee... I knew he could do it!

I mean, really, does it get any cuter than this??

or this????

And OMG... this????!!!!!

So as I was searching for the perfect sentiment, I came across this one from a fantastic Precious Remembrance set and it was perfect... 'cause I KNEW he could do it!!

The Newtons, the coffee cup, leaves and swirly stamps are from Newton's Nook, the yarn-Jessica's awesome mind at JessicaLynnOriginal, and the diecut leaves are from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks so much for stopping by once again!  This may or may not be my last post for this hop... might squeak one more in after work... but in the meantime, don't forget about this:

You can find more details on my Day 1 Blog post here!

Until we meet again!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 7 - A Beautiful Mess AND A Cutting Cafe Winner!

Can't believe I'm already talking Day 7!!  Today I'm sharing with you a card made using a few different things including this most awesome custom printed ribbon from the Cutting Cafe!  (And be sure to read to the end to see who won the Fox File from the Cutting Cafe for commenting on our Sep 7th Blog Hop!)

So you may or may not know this, but the Cutting Cafe Shop now sells custom printed ribbon!  You can check it out here!  There are also a few varieties readily available in the shop including the pretty coffee one I've used today!  You may have seen the version in white I got also and used in this post here!

My papers are from the Echo Park Fall Is In The Air 6x6 Paper Pad that I got in the Cutting Cafe Shop! and that pretty doily is from Cottage Kutz ... I cut it from gold vellum paper.  The banner and background layer were cut using dies from CDD and the leaves... most were sitting around on my desk waiting to be used...

I took this opportunity to use the cup and cake stamp from my custom made stamp set that Regina made me and I added a (few) flowers and leaves to match the paper)

And this Crafty Friends set from Altenew, another one of the awesome coffee hop sponsors.. so MANY awesome sentiments.  I thought this one went well with the sentiment on the ribbon!

Just love this ribbon!  And you can get yours with whatever you want on it!  You really should check this out!

Thanks for stopping by again today.  One more day... sigh... I'm right around the mid 600's on my tour around the hop so if you haven't seen me yet you will.. I guess I needed a whole week off!  And don't forget this:

Cutting Cafe Inspiration (And Blog Hop Day 6!)

This time around we're playing with the Witch Boot Shaped Card file over at the Cutting Cafe and I've created a couple items for you today!  I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Something Wicked 6x6 paper pad that you can get at the Cutting Cafe Shop here!  The papers in this pad are gorgeous!  Lots of glitter and cool patterns!

So here is the boot shaped card as it was intended!  I used real buttons instead of the paper cutout ones because I had the perfect ones!

This shaped card set comes with a few sentiments also... I picked this two part sentiment and was trying to figure out how to get it on the front without covering up too much and I decided to attach it to the inside, but have it peeking up over the top of the boot!

Then when you open it up, you can see the whole sentiment together!  I found the perfect stickers on that sheet I've been using over the last week or so... I don't even know where I got it... but now I'm glad I have it!

You had to know you weren't getting out of here without some coffee something or other!  It's Coffee Hop Holiday!  So while I was cutting out my boot shaped card, I cut an extra (smaller) boot and did this with it:

More papers form that awesome My Minds Eye pack and that cup!  Love the Cup Shaped Card from the Cutting Cafe!  I pulled up the file and cut only the cup in the size that I wanted it... cool part was I had saved this boot in the size I cut it so I could just pull up the cup and cut it the size I wanted having the boot as reference on my screen... I'll admit... it's still a pretty big cup!  But I wouldn't want it any other way!

I diecut some spiders... found these cool cobweb doilies in my Halloween stash... some washi tape and more stickers to decorate the cup.  And while I was trying to figure out what to do about steam, I thought... a witch's coffee probably would be bubbly... 'cause you never know what else she put in it... wart of frog... eye of newt.. you know...

And this phrase die from Stamplorations was perfect for the front.. again some real buttons.. I think I'm in love...

So thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out both the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop which I am linking up to of course!  And on the 21st (tomorrow as I type this) be sure to hop on over to the Cutting Cafe Blog and see what all of my design teammates have created for you using this file!  I know I can't wait!  I've seen some sneak peeks and ... well... you do not want to miss it!  And come back tomorrow for some more Cutting Cafe goodness and I'll have the winner posted for the Cutting Cafe drawing for the Fox file I used for my last Cutting Cafe post!

And don't forget about my giveaway for the Coffee Hop.  Check out the details on my Day 1 Post Here!
