Leaves Are Flying

It's that time of year again already! I love Autumn...

Here are two cards I made for a card workshop.. my wonderful hostess requested a couple Halloween cards and knowing that not everyone would use a Halloween card I gave the girls an option between two versions of the card. I think it worked out really well:

My Walking Buddies

I just love these two....

Everyday Celebrations

Love this month's special... so versatile... supplies and instructions to make 16 cards including a D-sized stamp set that can be used over and over and over again...

Eight of the 16 cards as they were meant to be:

With the remaining b&t paper I made these layouts:

Even when all the rest of the supplies are gone, the stamp set and recipes can be used over and over to make more card sets using any paper and colors you wish:

I LOVE this card kit!!

Our New Addition

Well, since my last entry we have a new family member. His name is Riley. He was the perfect fit. We lost our beloved dog, Ginger and her brother Jack was lonely. We weren't looking for another dog... Riley found us. His owner wasn't able to keep him any longer. He was and is loved. Here are some pics of Jack and his new brother... they get along great.

Thoughts About Friendships

I've been reflecting a lot lately about life and family and friendships. I have been so lucky. There is so much love in my life. I have a wonderful close family and fantastic friends. Not sure how I've managed to get so lucky, but instead of questioning it, I will just enjoy it.

I have a lot of great old friends and have grown some really great new "old friends". (Now you I don't mean "old" When in Arizona a few weeks ago, I met up with a friend from high school .. my early teenage bff if you will.. (graduated 25 years ago) that I haven't seen I think since I graduated. We had started our own separate lives and gone our own ways and here we are connected again so many years later and finding out we have quite a bit in common. It will be fun getting to know her again.

I guess it just boils down to this... a good friend is always a friend... regardless of the years or miles that separate you. To all of my friends and family... love you!

Relationships are what life is about... the rest is just filler.

Home At Last

Just got back from visiting my family in Arizona. It is beautiful out there. And soooo warm... and I got in my car yesterday morning and was listening to the radio and thinking (as I looked at the dark clouds) if I was in Arizona, the sun would be out ... all of a sudden on the radio they said, "Are you moving to Phoenix?" all I could think was... I don't know... am I?

We surprised my parents for their 40th anniversary... got 'em good! Surprised them time and again as we all were revealed to them over a period of a couple days.

Ryan loved his birthday card as much as a 15 year old boy can.

Have to get back into the groove of balancing work, baseball, and my business along with all the other stuff... no problem... it's starting to come back to me :).

The Early Bird

Up at 4:30am this morning. So many things to do and so little time... thought if I got up and did some of them maybe tomorrow morning I can sleep until my alarm goes off!

Here is another card I did recently... I love these little owls from You're A Hoot... so much fun! This is another design directly from the Wishes book... I am really loving this one!

Ok... on to my son's birthday card.. I'll post that one when it's done... hopefully by tomorrow.

This morning I'm finally spending a few minutes trying to figure out this whole blog thing! Shouldn't be too difficult... I guess time is my problem. Hope as the days go on my blog will become as fun and pretty as others I've seen. Until then... thanks for visiting me!

Here's a card I made for my husband for today. The design is directly from the CTMH Wishes book.
