2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

So excited because it's time for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  We've got tons of sponsors and tons of chances to win!  Link up some coffee themed projects for your chances at some fabulous prizes!  Here's how I was inspired:

I picked up an adorable Penny Black stamp set over in the Foiled Fox shop!  When I saw that cutie pie in the coffee cup I knew I had to have it!

I started with the background I made with my Gel Press and an awesome leafy stencil from Newton's Nook.

Head on over to the Coffee Loving Papercrafter's Blog to get started!

Thanks for stopping and I hope you'll come again soon!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #460 - Washi Tape!

Guesting in June with the Krafty Chicks Challenge!  This week the challenge is Washi Tape!  You know you've got that box or drawer full of Washi that you hardly ever use!  I use mine mostly for decorating envelopes, so I was excited to have a chance to really Washi it up!  I started by covering a 5.5 x 4.25 piece of white cardstock with various tapes in a rainbow of colors and then used the Nested Rectangle Small Stitch dies to create my rainbow layer... I used the largest size to create my first layer and the next smaller size for the Washi layer.

I knew I wanted to use this cutie pie from Funky Fossil Design's Chubby Unicorns stamp set... LOVE her!  I colored up all of the unicorns from this set while I was on vacation and decided she was perfect for this card... I nested her on the clouds and sun from the Whimsy Stamps Up In The Clouds Die Set.

And I built my sentiment using a Penny Black die with the Amazing from Technique Tuesday.  I got both of these on clearance so I'm not sure if they're available any more, but I sure am glad I picked them up... I kinda wish I had a typewriter so I could add "Even When You're Sleeping"...lol!

I finished it off with some sequins from one of the most awesome accessory packs I've seen in a while...the Unicorn Party-Pinata Loot Bag Embellishment Assortment... this is just the tip of the tip of the iceberg, but I loved the mix of sequins in the included sequin pack and used some of them here... 'cause it's a unicorn party!

Hope you'll join us over at the Krafty Chicks Challenge and I can't wait to see what you do with your Washi!

Penny Black, PPP and Crafty Vacation

Well, it may seem like I'm trying to be all artsy with my photos and failing...lol!  But really, I created this one while on crafty vacation and forgot to take a real pic of it before I gave it away so this is the only pic I have... lol!

I created this background with the most awesome Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges 2 dies... LOVE the versatility in these dies!  It comes with this diamond border pattern as well as a honeycomb border and an angled border that are so easy to cut in various colors and fit together like a puzzle... cover the whole background or just a piece... I made this card for my nephew so I chose a cool argyle pattern in the green and blue tiny prints.

Can we talk about this adorable dog from Penny Black??  The stamp set is called Doggie Treat and I got mine at Scrapbook.com and when I saw it I knew I had to have it.. isn't he adorable!?!  Quick and easy to color and cut out.

I'm linking up to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is Anything Goes with an optional twist!  There is a prize and Penny Black items should be the main focus of your project.

Thanks for stopping and come back soon!

MFT Camp Create Day 4: Monochromatic Magic

Skipping around a bit for MFT Camp Create!  I had this idea for Day 4 so I'll go back to Day 3 tomorrow!

These are some of my favorite colors/shades... Love that turquoisey, greenish blue... it really is ONE of my favorites.. (you know where I stand on favorites).

I created this background with some watercolors.. smooshed them around.. used a stencil to add some of those dots with ink... and then added more with clear texture paste... then a few splatters and done!

I got a fantastic deal on this sentiment die set from Penny Black at a crafter garage sale while I was back in Buffalo at Buffalo Stamps N Stuff... why anyone would part with this die set is beyond me!!  It was perfect for this card cut from glittery paper..

And I also got these MFT heart balloon dies at the same sale!!  Whaaaa?  Why???  But I'm so happy they were willing to part with them because I love them.  I cut one from the glitter paper and then the other two from some colored vellum.  I popped up the one with a 3-D glue dot because right now I can't find my clear foam tape... it's here.. under something... and although you can really see it in the photo it barely shows in real life... and that cute balloon string die is from L'il Inker... LOVE that!

So thanks for stopping by today!  I'll be back again with Day 3 and Day 5 of Camp Create projects... I've got some ideas brewing!
