A Winter Birthday Wish - Rubbernecker Stamps

Winter Bear isn't just for Christmas!  I wanted to use this sweetie on a wintery Birthday card along with some fun new paper I got recently!

I stamped, colored and fussy cut winter bear in colors that coordinated with that pretty background paper.  Then I layered my background with various thicknesses of foam tape and popped up Winter Bear over the top.

I cut my banner out of white cardstock and used my Misti for the sentiment.  I just made sure that the die cut piece was right in the corner when I stamped since there wasn't much room for magnets.  I stamped a couple times each time making sure my paper was right back in the corner where I had it the first time!

There are quite a few sweet, wintery stamps available in the shop that could be used for more than just the holidays!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I've got some fun stuff going on this weekend so hope you'll come by again soon!

Winter Bear With Rubbernecker Stamps!

I've got a cutie for you today!  This Winter Bear With Bird from Rubbernecker is one of my favorite new stamps in the shop!

I colored him up with my Copics and used one of my favorite color combos for his hat and scarf and then used some design paper and glitter cardstock layers in the same colors cut using the Nested Rectangle Small Stitch Dies and Nested Rectangle Scallop With Holes.

I added this Merry and Bright sentiment that I love so that he's sitting on it.  I love to use varying thicknesses of foam tape between my layers.

So cute, right??  A simple design but with that adorable bear front and center it's all you need!

I hope you enjoyed your stop here today and you come back soon!

Merry & Bright - Rubbernecker Stamps

Hello!  Sharing with you a card I whipped up this morning using some fabulous Rubbernecker Dies and a beautiful sentiment stamp!

As you know Sunday was National Coffee Day and Rubbernecker celebrated with a short blog hop.  Four quick stops and two prizes of $10 and $25!  You have until 11:59pm tomorrow, Wednesday, October 2nd to hop and comment for your chances to win!  You can start at the Rubbernecker Blog right here!  Be sure to head on over there after you're done here!

I started with the beautiful and very cool Rectangle Combo OPC #3 die.  It's a one piece die that cuts a bunch of frames all at once and you can use 1 or all of them on your project.. whatever you don't use, save for another project!

I cut my coffee cup from some wintery papers and added a background from the same color coordinated pack.  Then I used parts from the snowman die to add my guy to the front... SO cute!!  And don't you love the little stick that comes with the coffee cup??

I stamped the Merry & Bright sentiment stamp onto white cardstock and then fussy cut around the part that I wanted.  I think it's the perfect sentiment ... when I drink my coffee first, I feel both Merry and much Brighter...lol!

So thank you so very much for stopping today!  Don't forget to head on over to the Rubbernecker National Coffee Day Blog post and hop through the very quick hop for your chance to win some free stuff!!  And come back tomorrow!  I'm gonna have some more caffeinated fun for you then!

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas-June 2019 Edition!

Welcome to the June edition of Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas!  This is a monthly post where my friend Debra Davison from Meticulosity and I share the Christmas cards we make each month of the year.  We agreed to do this so that by December, all of our cards will be done and all we have to do is drop them in the mail!  And it gives me a chance to use some of the awesome stamps and dies that I purchased around the holidays, instead of making them wait a whole year!

Here's how I was inspired:

I love pink and aqua for Christmas!  So I got out some old papers and some really cute stamps I hadn't used yet and used them!

You may or may not be familiar with the artwork and stamps by Andrea Gomoll and if you're not, you should become acquainted... you can find her here!  Of course I had to have the Wintertime stamp set that had a Coffee flavor... and guess what... lots of sets including this one are on sale right now!

I decided all she really needed was a beautiful frame and this one from Paper Smooches was perfect!  And the Merry was cut using a die from Pretty Pink Posh... you can find that one here!

And then these sweet owls from My Favorite Things Warm and Feathered Hugs stamp set.  I decided it was the perfect time to play along with the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

I cut the top using a border die from Lil' Inker, the Border Builders Die set is here!

I created three cards using the sketch... sometimes it's nice to have a place to start!  I decided to use the leftover top piece from the first card on this one... it was a twofer!  And that double stitched circle is from MFT...it may not be available any more.. which would be silly because it's one of my faves!  And those cool Slanted Sentiment Strips from MFT were perfect for the sentiments with the stamp set!

That pink tree paper was my favorite one from the pack... I've been hoarding it 'til now...lol!

And here is the sketch:

So thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my Christmas cards!  And be sure to head on over to Debra's place and see what she's got for you!

Oh!  And I have a winner from last month's post!

Denise, send me your snail mail address and I'll shoot you some Happy Mail!

We're playing again!  Next month I'll draw a name from all of the comments on this post and send that person a small gift!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas-March 2019

Welcome to the March edition of Crafty Elves!  My bloggy friend Debra Davison (of Meticulosity) have vowed to create a Christmas Card a week for 2019 so that when Christmas comes, all of our cards are done!  We're sharing our makes on the 25th of each month!

I'll tell you... it's tax season for me and if I can push through this next two months I've got it made!  And I made it this month with the help of some awesome design papers and quick and easy cards!  Here's what I have for you:

So I decided to use the comfy cozy Echo Park/Carta Bella Cabin Fever papers... between the papers and the journal cards, four of these cards went together in about 45 minutes!   And then I wanted to do one really special card for you this month and it just so happens Michele over at CAS-ual Fridays has just released a die set called Huggable Critters and when I saw the journal card with the "Bear Hugs" sentiment on it... I knew right away what I was going to do!

I used some papers from the Cabin Fever paper pack to cut out all of my pieces... including that cool brown sweater pattern I used for my bear and that pretty plaid for my Coffee Cup

I originally had the handle tucked under the bear's paw, but I wanted it to be like he had his paw inside the handle.  It wouldn't fit, so I cut the handle and sliced his paw a big to have it go into his paw... you know, as if some of his fur was going around the outside of it... I think all in all it looks pretty good and I love that the handle can show!

I mean a bear sized mug would definitely be more like a Bear Hug in a Mug, don't you think??

Now for a quick look at the rest of my cards for this month:

To add a little special to these, I used some dies and embossing folders and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.  In addition to the journal cards, I used some of the stickers from the pack and some popup tape and of course a few sequins on each one!

I LOVE this paper pack!  The papers are heavy and textured and so beautiful!

That woodgrain with the snowflakes... as you can see... is one of my faves!

Not to mention the large quantity of plaid...lol!  And then one more look at my Huggable Critter:

Gosh I LOVE this new die set!  If you haven't checked out the new release inspiration at CAS-ual Fridays, I highly suggest  you head over there after you check out what Debra has created for you today!

Oh!!  And the winner of some Happy Mail from February's post is:

Sue D!

Sue, please email me your snail mail address at bzscrapper66 at g mail dot com so I can send you your Happy Mail!

Thanks everyone for stopping and I'm gonna do it again!  Leave me some love and I'll pick someone to send some mail to and announce it in my April Crafty Elves post!

Paper Sweeties January 2019 Winter Inspiration Day #1!

Welcome to Day 1 of Paper Sweeties Inspiration!  Today I'm sharing with you a winter themed card for anyone for anything!  I started with that adorable Doodlebug paper pad, Christmas Town, that you can get in the Paper Sweeties shop here!  Love that snowflake paper!  I used the Oval Scallop Frame Sweet Cuts and embossed the center oval with a snowfall embossing folder.

I used the tree dies from the new Merry Christmas Y'All Sweet Cuts and cut three trees from some previously colored watercolored paper.  Then I stamped, die cut and colored that adorable deer from the Jingle All The Way stamp set and snowman from the Thanks Snow Much stamp set and set them in place with varying thicknesses of foam tape... I always have lots of different foam tapes on hand because you know I love my layers!

Finally this #happy stamp from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set and a few sequins to finish it off!

I'm playing along with the Double Trouble Challenge ... the challenge there this time around is to use a cozy image on a printed or embossed background with a twist of kittens or mittens... see my cute little snow person looks quite cozy in her sweater coat, hat and she has sweet mittens on?  And since I have mittens, I can also link up to Creative With Stamps Mittens Challenge... they're collaborating with Double Trouble this time around!

Thanks for stopping here today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for some more Paper Sweeties inspiration, but for now checkout what my teamies have created for you today:
