Would You Like an Adventure? - Coffee Lovers Blog Hop 2024

Today is the first day of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Miss Ink Stamps is a sponsor!

I used the rabbit and mouse from the Alice Collection Tea Party and created the background with my Gel Press and the Lotsa Pots stamp set.  I foiled it with a leftover sheet of foil.

I heat embossed the sentiment on a die cut from the center of the Magnolia Frame die.

And finally I popped everything up on to the base!

Now head on over to the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog for more inspiration.. to hop and play along!  Good luck!

Thanks for stopping!  Come again soon!

Miss Ink Stamps - Graffiti Madness

Hello!  Happy Friday!  I have a fun one for you today!

When I was looking at this Brick Wall stencil, I decided I wanted to make something that looked like graffiti... so I was going through my Miss Ink Stamps sets and came across the Madness stamp and knew it was the one!

I started by stamping the sentiment onto a white piece of cardstock with Wow Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I stamped the Cheshire Cat face from Wonderland Wisdom over it and embossed that as well. Next I laid the stencil over the entire panel and blended some Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Ink.  The color is a little orangey so I added Vintage Photo over the top.  Then I removed the stencil and blended some Antique Linen over the entire panel.  Finally I splattered paint over the top, masking off the sentiment a little and then wiped the ink off of the sentiment with a napkin.

I added a little scalloped border to the bottom by cutting a panel with one of the dies from the EIEIO die set and then trimmed off the edge and popped it up onto the bottom of the brick wall.  I cut a bunch of flowers and leaves using dies from Oh Happy Day and Hi Swirl Frame die sets and arranged them inside my little scalloped fence.  And then it hit me!  Who would do such a thing!?  The Mad Hatter of course!  I stamped the top half of the image and then positioned him on the card to decide where to cut him so he could be peaking in from the edge.  I colored him in and where I trimmed the cups that he was holding from his hand, I was trying to decide what I'd put there... perhaps some flowers... maybe a cup... and then I remembered there was a paint can and paint brush on the Painting The Roses set and they were the perfect size!

Finally I added a sentiment from Wonderland Wisdom and a few sequins as well as Nuvo drops for flower centers.

This one is really making me giggle... I'm so happy with how it turned out!

Thank you so much for stopping!  I hope you'll come again soon!

Welcome back!  This is my second card for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I've used some great Miss Ink Stamps stuff for this one.  Here's how I was inspired:

I created the background with my Gel Press, some acrylic paint and my very favorite stencil from Miss Ink, the Circular Harlequin Stencil.  I haven't used it in a while though and decided today was the day!

We're All Mad Here!

I mean... we are right???  At this point I'd say it's a pretty safe statement...lol!

Had some fun with this one!  I started with a panel of EVO Synthetic paper and applied clear texture paste through the Rabbit Hole Stencil.  While that dried, I stamped, cut and colored my image from Tea Party and heat embossed the sentiment from Madness in purple and cut it out.

Once the texture paste was dry, I dropped some alcohol inks in green (including a beautiful Pearl variety) over the stenciled paste and used Blending Solution and a hand blower to move it around.  I LOVE how this turned out and will be playing with this some more for sure!

While the background dried I finished up with the rest of the elements and then popped them up over the swirly background.  I added another sentiment from the Madness stamp set and a few sequins and done!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

Miss Ink Stamps - Ode To My Quarantine Life

Welcome back!  I've got this one for you today... an ode to Quarantine Life using bunches of images from a few stamp sets over at Miss Ink!  I can totally see me eating a cupcake and drinking wine in my underwear on multiple occasions in the last year...lol!

I started with the Rabbit Hole Stencil and added some Heidi Swapp Minc Reactive Paint with a paintbrush through it.  I set it aside to dry and then foiled it using some Opal Decofoil for a subtle swirly background because that's what my head feels like these days.  I wanted a light and bright card so the Opal on white was perfect!  And if you see it in person a lot of the colors that were used to color are in that beautiful foil.

And then I just stamped, cut and colored the images I wanted to use from Happy New Year (the sentiment and drinks), Tea Party (cupcakes and coffee cups), I Believe (underwear), Say Cheese,(Cheese), Unstoppable (Toilet Paper) and Boo Crew (candy).  I fussy cut the sentiment from Happy New Year and then laid everything out and moved them around until I was happy with it. Then I used some thin foam tape to adhere it all.  A few sequins finished it up!

I love that although the big sentiment from the Happy New Year set is specific with dates, it's a sentiment that can be used well into 2021 AND all of the other images and the generic Happy New Year stamp are great for always.

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

Here's how I was inspired:

I decided I wanted to dress Alice in something other than blue, so I started by coloring her yellow dress and then I thought of this Lawn Fawn paper I've been wanting to use with the beautiful gray, green and yellow and decided this would be my color scheme.  I rarely know what papers I'm going to use before I start coloring, but this time it was great inspiration!

When I had all of my images from the Tea Party Stamp Set stamped, cut and colored, I picked out a Rubbernecker frame from my stash and popped it up in the center and then moved my images around until I had the look I wanted.  Then I attached them all with various thicknesses of foam tape.

And when it came time for a sentiment, I had an extra banner cut out from the Springtime Banners set, so I colored it in and popped it onto the corner of the frame after stamping this sentiment from the Decaf Background set.

I just love these colors!!  I added a few of my favorite sequins from Trinity and I was done!

And Miss Ink Stamps has all of the Coffee themed products on sale for the hop at 40% off!!  What a great deal!!  You don't need a code but you can use code CoffeeLover for a free pack of Latte Love Sequins!

The UnBirthday! - Miss Ink Stamps

Happy Friday!  (Just a little reminder as to what day it is ... for you and for me!)  I'm back with some more Alice in Wonderland inspiration.  Have you seen the gorgeous and fun new release over at Miss Ink Stamps?  If you haven't, please do check it out here!

I colored up the Mad Hatter during last month's 30 Day Coloring Challenge... which by the way is still going on now... because... why not??  And the colors in that image is what set the tone(s)..lol... for the rest of the card!  I created the background using the new Wonky Checkers Stencil and some Ken Oliver Color Burst powder.   And just to break up all of the crazy behind my images, I added the woodland/mushroom background stamp from Smokin' Caterpillar, but left it black and white which I've been having fun doing lately!

I love this sentiment!  I stamped and cut it out.  It's Perfect to send anytime to anyone.. especially that person you know that hates to celebrate their birthday!  Send it on any one of the other 364 Unbirthday Days of the year!

That's it for me today!  I hope you enjoyed your stop!  Please do come back soon for more inspiration!  And thanks to everyone for all of your visits and love... it really makes my day when my email dings and I see that one of you was here! I'm trying to make more regular visits and hope to see you soon at your places!

And don't forget... it's Friday!!

In The Dark - Miss Ink Stamps Alice In Wonderland Release

Did you know that Miss Ink Stamps is in the middle of a huge and awesome Alice In Wonderland release?  This is such a complete collection of Alice images and I think you're gonna love it!

Today we're sharing projects using the In The Dark stamp set as well as Wonderland Wisdom, Dodo, and Unbirthday!  I've used the In The Dark set today along with a few other things!  Can you see the subtle touches here?  Behind my quote I stamped in black on the black paper the Mad Hatter image from the Tea Party stamp set.  I do wish he showed up a little more, but I love the look.  It's a little surprise!  I also used black Distress Oxide with the Wonky Checker stencil on black cardstock for the background.

The chair (LOVE that chair) and sentiment are from the In The Dark set and I used the cups from the Tea Party set and sweet Alice from the Alice set!

I just love this set!  That sentiment is one of my faves ... perfect to let a friend know that you are there for them... always.

Now, be sure to head on over to @Missinkstamps on Instagram and enter for your chance to win some fun stuff from the new release!

Thanks so much for stopping and please do come again soon!
