World Cardmaking Day 2019 With CAS-ual Fridays!

Happy World Card Making Day!  We're celebrating over at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog with a Challenge!  Link up any newly created card!  It can be a Birthday Card, Thank You Card, Holiday Card... ANY kind of card!   There are prizes up for grabs including a Grand Prize that includes a Guest Design spot with CAS-ual Fridays and an awesome prize package!  There will also be a couple randomly drawn prize codes awarded!  You don't have to use CAS-ual Fridays products to play along or win (but we love it when you do!).

Here's how I was inspired:

I love the Huggable Critters Fri-dies yet!  It's a huge set all ready to create four adorable critters that are ready to hug whatever you wish.. a gift card, a sentiment... big enough to create a card with them, and small enough to fit on a standard A2 card front with room for embellishment!  Just check out the samples over in the shop!  But there is so much more that can be done with the pieces parts in this set!  And really if you use your imagination so many more critters that you can make!

I used the kitty cat parts today along with the To Go Cup Fri-Dies to create an adorable cup of coffee that I'd buy in a heartbeat!

SO cute!  I embossed the Bubble Box die cut with an embossing folder for a backdrop for my cup and then built my sentiment using the Meow from the adorable Little Huggables stamp set that has all kinds of cute and punny critter sentiments on it and part of a sentiment from the fun Time For Coffee stamp set along with...

The Coffee word die included in the Coffee Cup Fri-Dies set!  Love the size and font of this word die... my fave Coffee word die I dare say!

World Cardmaking Day with Kat Scrappiness & Altenew

Happy World Cardmaking... Weekend!...lol!  It's not that I didn't create yesterday, I just didn't create anything I could share yet!  So today I decided since Kat Scrappiness had their World Cardmaking Day Friendship Challenge going through today, I'd "whip up" a card!

This is going to be a super short post because I am having computer problems!  My typing pad isn't working and my wireless mouse isn't either!  So I'm having a hard time doing all my normal everyday stuff.  I figured out a way to move my pointer, but let me tell you... I've already ordered the new laptop I've been needing for quite some time (my screen has been falling off...lol!) because this is just not cutting it!

Anyway!!  I knew I wanted to use that awesome background die from Kat Scrappiness ... gorgeous, right??  And that distressed edges oval is also from KS store.   I'll come back in and add links when I can get to a better computer, but for now I'll just tell you what I used.  When I was trying to decide what stamps and dies I had to use, I landed on some pretty Altenew offerings in my stash... the sentiment, butterfly, and die cut flower are from Altenew.  And the brown twiggy foliage is from Tim Holtz.  I chose Altenew because I love the inspiration challenge photo they have right now so I thought I'd play along there too!  Check out both of these places (Kat Scrappiness ends at midnight tonight!!)
