Krafty Chicks Challenge #459-Camp Out

It's time for a new challenge over at the Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog!   This week the theme is "Camp Out" and it was the perfect opportunity for me to use some things I hadn't broken out yet!

I started with the some old CTMH papers and cut the background layer using a Rubbernecker Nested Deckle Rectangle Die... love the jagged edges on these!  Next I cut a circle and used some pearl texture paste and a star stencil to add stars to the circle.

So that I'd have stitches on my circular scene all around, I cut another of the same circle in the lagoon color and the dark gray to create my background.  Then I cut the MFT Snow-Capped Mountains from the dark gray circle and my grass and hill layers using the lagoon.  I cut my snowy mountain tops using a lighter gray.  I layered on those pieces after my stars were dry (kinda...lol... no patience here) and used foam tape to pop up the bottom.  Then I added the Evergreen Trees from Impression Obsession and pieced together that adorable Build A Camper from Spellbinders.

This sentiment from the Joy Clair Wild & Free Stamp Set was perfect!

Now be sure to head on over to the Krafty Chicks Blog and see what everyone has created for you today and then get busy and play along!

Thanks for stopping and don't forget to visit me over at the CAS-ual Fridays Blog today for something Huggable!

12 Tags of Christmas - Ellen Hutson/Reverse Confetti

So happy to see you!  I've still got some lingering Coffee Hop ideas that I'm playing around with and sharing one of them with you today!  I'm playing along with the 12 Tags of Christmas over at Ellen Hutson and the current Stock Your Stash Challenge at Reverse Confetti.

For 12 Tags of Christmas the idea is to use inspiration from one of the day's posts.  I used inspiration from the Dec 1st post with Jennifer McGuire and Carolyn Peeler.  My inspiration came from alcohol ink and glitter from Jennifer's ornaments.

I started by creating an alcohol ink background using some pinks and blues.. hoping they'd mix to create purple in some areas and they did!  They are a little darker than I'd hoped and was originally going for more pink, but they're so hard to control!  But I love it anyway!  I cut a tag using the CAS-ual Fridays Scallop Tags die.

I wanted to use the adorable Holiday Gnomes stamp set from Reverse Confetti during the Coffee Hop, but ran out of time so this was the perfect time to use it!  I stamped the gnome, house and tree from the set and colored them with my Copics.  I'm also playing along over at Choux Choux Paper Art's Visions of Sugar Plums Home for Christmas Challenge! To Caffienate this tag, I added the To Go Cup and that cute little mouse from the Coffee and You Stamps and Dies as well as that sweet little Tiny Love Bubble from Waffle Flower that I cut out of the alcohol inked paper.

I was going to cut these fantastic snowflakes from the Let It Snow Confetti Cuts from glitter paper but I was at a crop and had forgotten it!  But I did have my embossing powders with me.  So I cut the snowflakes from some plain white cardstock and smooshed some Versamark all over them and used some Wow Snow Glitter embossing powder to add some beautiful sparkle and texture to them!  Love how they came out!

The Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge is all about Thanks, so I die cut the Thanks word from the CDD Greeting Word Dies from the same alcohol inked paper as the tag.  Then I embossed the "you're the coolest" sentiment from the S'more Love stamp set using some purple embossing powder and fussy cut it out so it would not take up too much space.

I just added a few sequins from Brutus Monroe and some pretty fibers I had in my stash and it was done!

Thanks for stopping and hope you'll stop again soon!  In the meantime check out all of these challenges and maybe play along with one or two or three!

Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #15 - Die Cutting

It's time for a new challenge over at Three Amigos!  Our challenge this month is to use shapes you die cut.  Anything you cut using a Cricut, Silhouette, Big Shot, Cuttlebug or any other machine.  I took the challenge almost to the max.. I used one stamp and everything else was die cut with my Big Shot!  Here's how I was inspired:

I knew I wanted to make something kind of shabby chic and this Prima Rose Quartz paper pad was perfect for that.  All of these design papers came from that 6x6 pad.  I cut my first layer of the wood grain using a gorgeous Waffle Flower die from the Lacey Layers Die Set.. one of my most used dies... it's so beautiful!  And that pretty doily... I love it because it's simple and is a nice backdrop... it doesn't take over... it complements.  It's from the Gina Marie Doily Die set.

As I started this blog post I went back to look at my May one and it reminded me I used this cup then too!...lol.. I guess I love this cup!  It's from The Stamp Simply Coffee and Tea Die Set.  I love that these cup dies have a separate handle so it's easy to make that beautiful curvy handle a different color... or even gold!

I LOVE that when I cut the background woodgrain and flipped over the scraps this little piece was perfectly in tact and this die from CDD cut it perfectly!  That one is from the CDD Mini Shaker Clip Die set.

This cute sentiment came from Cas-ual Fridays Coffee Talk stamps.  I cut quite a few banners using my CDD Flag Banner Dies... another set I'm surprised I haven't worn out yet...lol!

And this beautiful Coffee word was cut using one of the word dies included in the Stamp Simply Coffee and Tea set.  I finished it off with a few sparkly gold gems and some Prima Flowers.

And that's it for me!  Be sure to visit my Amigos and see what they've created.   Check out Donna's post here and Susan is on vacation this week so she'll be around for some mid month inspiration.  In the meantime Suzanne from Double Trouble Challenges (her post  is filling and her blog post is here.  and check out the Three Amigos Blog to see who won last month and link up to this month's challenge!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #14 - May Flowers!

So yeah... maybe this one is a little similar to last month, but so what!!  It's flowers, and I'm happy!  I don't think you're gonna complain either!

Here's how I was inspired:

So, I won a gift certificate to Stamp Simply during the last Coffee Lovers Hop (see the dates for the upcoming one in the sidebar!) and of course I had to have these beautiful cup dies from the Coffee or Tea die set!  Love them... there are two cups, in two different sizes and separate handles.  Also Coffee and Tea word dies as well as a teabag.  LOVE!

I started this one by cutting my first layer using the beautiful Waffle Flower Lacy Layers die from one of the beautiful design papers from the CTMH Gimme Some Sugar paper pack.  I love all of these papers with the subtle patterns... such a pretty backdrop for anything!

And while I was there shopping, I checked out some of the stamp sets and landed on the beautiful Rose Avenue set from Kaisercraft!  Turns out this is the project I was waiting for.  I die cut the largest cup from the set from water color paper and then stamped the roses in Versamark and embossed in gold.  I did the same with the butterflies also from the Rose Avenue set.  Then I colored everything using my watercolor pencils and a water brush.  After it was dry, I used a gold paint marker to edge my china.

Have I mentioned that I love the gold?  I used a Doily Die from Gina Marie and cut it from vellum... because I love vellum AND because I'm playing along with the Heart2Heart Challenge to use Vellum!

And of course I felt it appropriate to add even more flowers and I had some Paper Smooches diecuts sitting on my table that I cut apart and used for leaves.

A little more vellum for the CDD banner... a few more flowers, leaves, sequins and a pretty hello die from my stash cut from CTMH glitter paper in Bashful.  I used a little blue to complement the blue on the cup and a little peach to mimic the orange butterflies... I love this mix of colors!

There you have it!  Hope you enjoyed your stop here today!  Be sure to check out Donna and Susan's makes and then share your May Flower creations with us over on the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge Blog!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop-Day 3

Happy Day 3 of the Coffee Lovers Hop!  Today I'm sharing a card made with some CDD digi stamps along with a few other items...

Love the Bedroom Accessories digi set from CDD.  There are SO many images in the set... the books and coffee cup... the kitty cat.. and that fantastic window along with so many more!  It's a really fun set to play with.  I arranged the cat with the books and printed it and separately printed the window because I wanted to pop up the cat and books.

I watercolored the scene in the windows freehand and then watercolored all of the images.  I was inspired by the Monthly Social Media Challenge at Craftin Desert Divas and I'm playing along there as well as with the Outlawz Twisted Thursday that's all about leaves in addition to the Coffee Hop!

If you come here often, you know how much I love those hearts from Paper Sweeties and the die cut leaves... aren't they awesome... they are a die from CDD.

This beautiful seam binding is from D.L. Art and that pretty sentiment is from one of the recently released Verve coffee sets, Fill My Cup stamped on a banner from CDD.

Thanks for stopping and don't forget about my giveaway!

Comment on each of my blog posts for the hop and have a chance to win one of these two bracelets!  You can check out more details in my Day 1 post here!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 2 - Here Comes The Sun!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Summer 2017 Coffee Lovers Hop!  I'm back with some more Brentwood!

Today I'm using the freebie that JessicaLynnOriginal is sharing for the hop and you can get it here!  Love to see Brentwood so relaxed... still in his jammies sitting in his nicely decorated bachelor pad... he has such an eye for decor don't you think?

I decided that Bachelor Brentwood would be the plaid recliner/wood paneling kind of guy.  I personally like plaid and wood and that's fine with me!  I love that this cup is blank and you can add whatever you'd like to it or just color it.  I made a little desert scene on mine.  I was coloring with Copics so I penciled in the cactus drawing first and then finalized it with my Copic multiliner pen and then made sure all of the pencil lines were erased before adding the ink.. once you color over a pencil mark with a Copic marker it's there for good.  Then I colored in my cactus and background... I'd buy that mug!

I decided that my sentiment would be a wall hanging... at first I was going to make the picture on the wall a picture of perhaps a Mrs. Brentwood, but I really didn't have room for that.  So, I pulled up this awesome sentiment and sun that Verve shared during one of the past coffee hops and was able to size it perfectly for my space...

I've had this window die from Memory Box for quite some time and just hadn't gotten around to using it... why?  I don't have any idea because it's awesome!  I cut my background for my outdoor scene to size and then created my background with my copics.

I wasn't really planning on curtains, but that area needed something because the bottom of the card was too heavy for the top and then I came across the perfect "fabric" for Brentwood's curtains... this was from a paper pad I got quite a while ago too, Happy Day from Pebbles.  Now, there are quite a few awesome printed pieces in this pack...but seriously.. I bought it for the two pieces of coffee cup paper ... lol!  Don't judge... I know you'd do the same!

And finally I knew Brentwood needed a friend to share his morning coffee with.  Don't worry... he's the kind of owl that would much rather drink his morning coffee than chase after mice.  That cute little guy is from CDD and the cactus digi from Bella Parodi was already printed in the perfect size and made the perfect "houseplant" for Brentwood.

So thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be back soon with some more coffee goodness! And don't forget to checkout the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for all the details about this awesome and fun hop including a huge list of awesome sponsors!

Oopsy Daisy!

Happy Sunday!  Can you believe it's June already?  There is a new challenge over at Craftin Desert Divas and I'm playing along... it's usually about the colors for me... such a pretty palette....

For my last card, I was dealing with a poorly behaved pup and it looks like now this frisky feline is having trouble following the rules!

I used quite a few images from the Bedroom Accessories set for this one... and that kitty is a digi called From Meow To You... silly kitty!  And the sentiment is from one of the new stamp sets, Garden Bugs... it was perfect!

This cutie is in the Bedroom Accessories set... the actual digi he is sleeping peacefully... but I drew an open eye because he WAS sleeping peacefully.. and at this moment he's realizing what's about to happen.. don't worry... he's pretty quick... he'll get out of the way...

I love the potted cacti in this Bedroom Accessories set!  I'll use this one over and over I'm sure!

Hope this was fun for you... I loved putting it together... I giggled a bit while I was working on it...

Thanks for stopping by today and please do stop again soon!  It's almost time for some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!

Sorry, Not Sorry!

I've had this idea in my head for a few days now and finally got a chance to get it down on paper.  The best part was, usually when I print my digis I print a few and cut them out using my Brother Scan N Cut 2 so that I have some at the ready to use... and this little pup was exactly the right size for my project..

He seems pretty pleased with himself... he was able to find (almost) all of his bones he had saved for later... I can see mine looking exactly like this and so excited to show me what he'd done... originally I was thinking I'd make this a Sorry card, but ... really... he doesn't look very sorry, does he?

I love that the little dirt mounds in the Garden Border die set have cutout areas to place whatever it is you're growing... as you can see here, my pup kind of did a little damage in the garden while digging up his treasure.. but those carrots weren't important and he's sure no one will mind (mine would be eating those too).. they like to pick cherry tomatoes out of the garden from time to time to time...

He forgot one!  But I'm sure he'll snag it before too long...

So once I decided he wasn't very sorry, I cut this sentiment out of the Puppy Love paper pack from Doodlebug... I thought it was more fitting...

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you again soon!
