This week's challenge at
Heart2Heart Challenge Blog is April Showers Bring May Flowers. We are to use flowers in our project. This card was made with the beautiful Grace papers and this month's Stamp of the Month, Friendship Bouquet. The ribbon is our Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon colored with sponge dauber and Honey and Autumn Terracotta inks. The sentiment is from Wonderful You.

LOVE your card! That is a love how you used the May SOTM.

Lovely layering with the sunflower stamp! I always like seeing cards made with older papers because it gives me a push to pull out those older well-loved papers and use them in another way!
Thanks for sharing your lovely art with us at Heart2Heart Challenges this week!

Lisa, love the whole card but particularly the two-tone effect of the color ready ribbon. I have been trying for a similar effect but haven't been quite satisfied with the results yet, care to share how you colored it?
Thanks! The ribbon... I love it.. I colored mine with a sponge dauber and stamp pads. I usually start with my lightest color and just rub spots of my first color here and there and make some areas darker than others. Then I do the same and fill in with a second (and sometimes third) color. I just keep playing with it until I'm happy with it. Also, I do both sides because you never know what's going to show once you make your bow.
