Been playing with the ShinHan markers that CTMH is carrying beginning August 1st. There are many techniques and different ways to use them. Here I used the blending marker and used the inks kind of like paints. You "color" onto a plastic sheet and then add the ink to the blending marker and color with it. It allows you to use the same marker to get darks and lights. It also allows you to mix colors. It definitely takes a little practice, but once you get the hang of it the possibilities are endless and if you used the old CTMH alcohol markers they will be similar. ShinHan however is a true and tested brand and because there were so many problems with the CTMH markers it was decided to be in the customer's best interest to go with this great ShinHan brand instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. I LOVE them. We will carry an assortment of colors that don't necessarily come in our exact colors, but with all the different ways they can be used they are so versatile and as you can see I've used them here with the old Mayberry papers and they coordinate just fine. It's a change I'm happy to get behind. Hope you give them a try! Also, these Mayberry papers can't be purchased any more-don't forget to get the paper packs you love that are in the current book before you can't get them any longer. Many products will retire July 31st right before the fantastic new Annual Idea Book goes live.

This is a card I made using the Skylark paper and Picture My Life scrapbooking cards. I also had a chance to use a stamp set I've been wanting to use for a while, Feathers. This was a fun card to make. I love to use papers that seem so feminine on a masculine card. I challenge you to use one of our more feminine paper packs and create something masculine with it. Send me a pic to post on my blog and get two extra entries into my monthly drawing. Don't forget that during the month of July each time you comment on my blog or facebook page or like something on my Lisa Bzibziak, Close To My Heart Independent Consultant facebook page you will be entered into the July drawing. Some of you have caught on and already have quite a few chances to win a small gift from me. Thanks for stopping by again!

August Card Workshop
I'm scheduling an August card workshop for Saturday, August 16th from 1pm - 4pm. We will make the 10 cards above. The cost will be $15. You will go home with 10 cards with envelopes and some extra product to use at home on all your papercrafting projects.
This is a closeup of two of the cards. Come to my house in Buckeye, AZ for an afternoon of papercrafting, snacking and chatting. Learn some new techniques and check out some of the great new products (the new Idea Book goes live August 1st! Come and get a look at it and purchase the Idea Book at a discounted price with your paid workshop). Please email me at bzscrapper66@gmail.com to sign up. Signup and payment will be due by August 1st. I have room for 5 crafters. Don't worry, if we fill up I will schedule another. If you can get 5 people together and would like to host the workshop in your home, we can set something up for that also.
More info will come and a complete list of supplies to bring will be given to all attendees by the week before the workshop. Email me with any questions.

Happy 4th!!
This is a shadow box I made my dad for Father's Day. When my (20year old) son Ryan was in elementary school they had an assignment to interview a veteran and put together a project. The words are all Ryan's. I'm in the midst of making a mini shadowbox to go alongside it with some of his actual memorabilia and the more accurate information (although Ryan did pretty good... dad was not an MP Dog "Hammer" but instead a Handler...lol... I am grateful everyday for my dad and appreciate the time and sacrifice he and all of the people who serve our country and their families give.
Happy 4th everybody!

Three Amigos Blog Hop July
Welcome back to the Three Amigos CTMH Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. Each month we are featuring a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.
This month's challenge was to use the Picture My Life cards in a different way other than with the kit for scrapbooking. I've had the idea for a while to make luggage tags for my suitcase with some pretty papers and my laminator that I bought two years ago... three... maybe four... and hadn't used yet. Through some trial and error these are what I came up with. I discovered that the Picture My Life cards were perfect for this because they were flat and easy to practice on. Some of them have a great spot on the back for adding an address either handwritten or printed from the computer. What fun it was to make these and last month before my nieces and nephew left for New York for a month we all sat down and made some luggage tags. I wish I had taken pictures of theirs, but I actually copied Isabelle's (2nd from the left) and Emily decided to use a Picture My Life card because it was so cute and easy! Ethan, 13, opted for a hockey net, stick and puck we cut out of another Cricut cartridge...lol! But HE did it! And he had fun... and then he made his mom one.
Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to Donna's Diary of a Scrapbook Addict blog to see what she did!
