Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #37

Happy New Year!  It's time for the first Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge of the year!  This month the theme is Coffee, Christmas and Snowflakes!  I created my card using ALL leftovers from previous projects!

I started with a pretty foiled blue background that I was going to use for a previous project and then changed my mind.  The frame was made using the leftovers from a recent card where I had to cut it twice to get the center insert in a different color (using papers from Your Paper Insider) so used the remaining pieces here!

The poinsettia, flourish and snowflakes were foiled and cut for a couple Mixed Media projects ... I had cut a bunch and these were extra so I was able to use them here!  And for the sentiment I had foiled a sheet of sentiments from Therm O Web and this one was perfect for this snowflake theme!

And last but not least I had printed this adorable image from LTTS Doodles long ago and it was in my stash of extras so I cut it out and colored it for this one... so cute, right??  I decided this time to color him in purple..because... why not?

So that's me for today!  Be sure to head on over to the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog where the Caffeinated Christmas Challenge now resides to see what everyone has created for you today and then play along!  I can't wait to see yours!

Nappy New Year - Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  I got this idea in my head and couldn't let it go while I was looking at the adorable sleepy bears from the Bear Hugs stamp set.

I started with a gel print I created using one of the Diamond Fade stencils.  I die cut a cloud and cut it into two.  Then I stamped, colored and cut the images from Bear Hugs and created the sentiment using the Seasons Greetings stamp set and the Punny Farm alpha dies from the frame set.

I love this... maybe my New Year resolution will be to take more naps... probably gonna need them.

Thanks for stopping!  Come back again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - December 2024 Edition

It's the 25th of the month and time for the last Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas 2024!  I've got a special project for you today!

My brother asked me for help with creating the decorations for his office door at work and he'd picked a Grinch theme... because... well... he's kinda the office Grinch.

I got the idea for this project from that.  I brought him lots of foiled gel prints and these alpha dies from Kat Scrappiness and he made bunches of signs for his door and pointing the way to his door.

I wanted him to make a sign that said Stink, Stank, Stunk! but it wasn't in his vision and I decided that I was going to do it.

I was extra inspired when I saw the October stencil release from A Colorful Life Design.

I started these at a crafty day with my crafty friend Mitra.  She supplied the approximately 6x6 square canvases.  I crinkled up some tissue paper and laid it over the canvas and covered it with white paint using a sponge.  Then I added green paint over the top and set it aside to dry.

While it was drying I die cut all of my letters from red foiled gel prints and again from green and glued them together offset.

I stenciled a string of ornaments with gold Glitz Glitter Gel across the top of each canvas.  Then I stenciled the Grinch faces with black paste and once that was dry, added a layer of Transfer Gel over the top.  When that was dry to tacky, I added Deco Foil in green/gold.

I painted some wooden snowflakes (from Mitra) with white acrylic paint, let it dry ad then painted over them with Transfer Gel Duo and again when dry to tacky, added some gold foil over it.  I finished them off with Glitter Dust Spray and popped them and the sentiments onto the canvases.  Finally I added washi tape to the edges of each canvas.

That's my project and now for a peek at what my brother came up with for his office door.

Awesome right?  It was fun to get crafty with my brother.

Well, it's been a year.  Thank you so much for hanging in with us and looking forward to doing it all over again!  Thanks for stopping and be sure to head on over to see what Debra has for you today!

And Merry, Happy, Hope your holidays are fabulous and full of love and peace!
