Cutting Cafe Inspiration for November 7th!

Welcome back for some more Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around we're using the Gable Box Template and Cutting File. This is an awesome set that comes with box cuts with and without windows and here is how I was inspired:

I couldn't make up my mind which one to cut so I decided to make two!

This set comes with a few different windows... a heart, a rectangle, a flower and circles... but I decided to play around in Design Space a bit and here I used the plain box with no window and after I pulled it in to Design Space and re-sized it, I added a Maple Leaf cut and attached it to the panels it would affect and was able to make my window Leaf Shaped.  I'd also been reminded recently about Sassy Owl and it had been a while since I'd used her (from the stamp set available at the Cutting Cafe Shop, From Owl Of Us) so I stamped, colored and cut her out so she could peek through the window.

Then I used some of the digital images from The Cutting Cafe (although I had them made into a custom stamp by Regina so I stamped them) to stamp and color in some acorns and as my sentiment on my tag.  Added some extra leaves left from cutting out the box and layers, a flower from my stash.  I love the way that gold floss splays out when you tie it in a knot.  Here's a tip!  Layer your pieces on before you assemble your box... much easier.. although it's not too difficult once it's put together either...lol!  I did it both ways!

And I also cut from the ready made heart template!  What's cool is you can choose to have two sides with a window or just one depending on the pieces you cut.  The box is assembled from two pieces and you can cut one plain and one with a window or both with a window... or if you're really feeling randy you can add a couple windows on the end!  I was not feeling randy so this box has just one window :)!  I added some texture paste with a doily stencil before adding the extra bits and baubles... and a little Inka gold on just about everything...lol!

On this one I used a leaf left from cutting out my previous box and then die cut some extras.  I added some flowers from my stash...

... Some gold bling and that pretty CDD die cut Blessed.....
