Just wanted to share a quick card with you! Can't really take credit for this, because that adorable unicorn from the Spectrum Stamp Set was the start of a friend's project and she really wasn't happy with it and abandoned it. I saw promise so I stuffed it in my bag when it was time to go.
When I got home, I finished coloring him and the background in and put him inside this shaker. For the window of the shaker I used the Frame 1 die.. cut it out in the center of my paper and used the negative space for my window. Glued the window sheet to the back of my window layer, added some popup tape, poured some very pretty CDD Shimmer Sequins in the center and glued the front down.
Before I added my popup tape, I used my Misti to stamp this sentiment from the most awesome Magical Sampler sentiment set. When it was all together, I tied my ribbon around the whole thing and scattered a few more sequins around. I'd say that's about as clean and simple as I've ever gotten (if you ignore the ribbon... but why would you??)
And it was very funny because when I showed her the finished card, she didn't even realize that was her unicorn! And I really didn't change it that much. I think she just didn't like it so much that she didn't imagine it could be such a pretty little shaker!
Thanks for stopping! I'm entering this one into a couple challenges... the Paper Smooches Guest Designer Search for December (still a few hours left to link up to this one) and the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #308-#309 Anything Goes! (You have a little less than a week to play along with this one!
See you again tomorrow!
