I'm back today because I stopped over at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Blog to see what was going on and the Challenge was All That Glitters... and although glitter is a REAL challenge for me (lololol! Hahahahaha! Oh .. that's funny) I thought I'd give it a try...lol! :)
I started by cutting my base with the Stamplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Dies from some MFT Merry and Bright Plaid Papers as well as the pink vellum panel (I love saying Crazy Double Running Stitch Dies because in my head I say it like I would- Wacky Waving Arm Flailing Tube Man...lol)
So during the last hop when CAS-ual Fridays released that awesome Peace, Love, Coffee set and of course I had to get it right away, I saw this adorable Ornament Tag die set and HAD to get it because I knew I could use it for so many things. I decided I may as well keep the Christmas going and used it for this challenge.... what's better with glitter than Christmas?? (Honestly, I was first planning a Valentine card for my husband and he would not be surprised to find glitter on that either... glitter goes with everything!)
I cut the ornament out of green glitter paper. I loved that I didn't even have to cut the two circles apart! I just left them together and I'll never have to figure out how to space my inside cutout properly so all of my outside edges are even! Time saver!! And mind saver! I can use both!
And what's better to fill my pretty glittery ornament than those adorable little coffee mugs from the new Coffee Cup Fri-Dies!? The die is just like the large mug on the set, but teeny tiny!! And the handle cuts out... LOVE LOVE LOVE! I also filled my shaker with a pretty sequin mix from Craftin Desert Divas. They were the just the right colors!
This sentiment from CDD was perfect and I stamped it on this banner that was laying on my table... it was exactly what I needed.. color, size (didn't even have to trim it!)... love when that happens. And then another one of those cute mugs. I added a few Lawn Fawn snowflakes that I also had leftover from a previous project and threw around some more sequins.
Can I say... I think one of my favorite parts of the ornament set is that pretty little hanger... I'm thinking it would make a very cute long stream of steam for the right sized coffee cup...lol!!
SO! Hop on over to CAS-ual Fridays challenge and check it out! And did you see there's a coupon code to use while the challenge is going on? Just look at that graphic below! Cool, right!? Nothing to lose! And come back tomorrow for something cool!
