CAS-ual Fridays Holiday Release Day 6 - Pear Tree Fri-Dies!

Welcome to Day 6 of the CAS-ual Fridays Holiday Release!  Today we're playing with the new Pear Tree Fri-Dies that coordinate with the previously released Partridge In A Pear Tree stamp set!  Here's how I was inspired:

I decided on a nighttime sky background for my card... it kind of morphed into something that I loved even better... love that it's light and bright!  (Not to mention sparkly!)

I decided on a vellum layer cut with... you guessed it... the Bubble Box Fri-Dies...between the beautiful image and the background so that the image would stand out!  Now, let's talk about this die set!

I love how this die set is made to add dimension to this image!  Part of the trunk cuts out and you can either pop it up or attach it flat... there are dies for the pears... but they don't cut out around the outline of the pear... they fit inside the outline.. same with the bird... SO cool!  I popped up my bird and some of the pears but left others without to give the effect that some are closer than others.  It is SUCH a cool set!  I didn't use the bow die, but instead added some liquid glass to it.

Instead of the Partridge in a Pear Tree sentiment, I used this one from the Snowy Sayings set.  I embossed this one on a dark blue cardstock and fussy cut it also.. sometimes I prefer this over a banner so it takes up less space... and I love the way it looks.  A couple extra pears as embellishment and some sequins... done!
