Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop 2020

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!
Prize Winners will be announced on February 15, 2020.
Thirty-six caring Sponsors and nine DT Members are offering prizes to commenters and they are helping bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

Nine designers are offering prizes on their personal blogs as well:

My TS related project is inspired by the TSA official color board:

Here's how I was inspired:

I did some watercoloring using my Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils and a water brush.  I stamped that beautiful image from a Hero Arts/Gina K Designs collaboration set in Versamark onto watercolor paper and heat embossed it using some Wow embossing powder.

I am far from being an expert at watercoloring so if you are... don't look too hard...lol!  But I love the way it turned out and I'm glad I stuck to it.  I almost threw in the towel and opted for coloring the image with my Copics a few times, but I didn't give up and I'm so happy that I didn't!

I knew I wanted to add a butterfly, and after searching through my pretty well stocked craft room, I came across that beautiful Butterfly Flourish die from Elizabeth Crafts and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted.  And finally a simple sentiment from the collab set.

I just scattered around a few of those beautiful sequins from Trinity and called it done!

This one is one its way to a special young lady right now!

Thank you so much for stopping and hope you'll head on over to the "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop 2020  page to become eligible for prizes and find out more about this genetic disorder.  I was amazed that just living with this Syndrome is a miracle in itself since only 2% of babies born with it survive past birth!

Happy hopping and good luck!
