So, I told you I had a couple cool announcements for you and here is one of them! I've joined the Craftin Desert Divas Digi Design Team! So excited to join this group of great ladies and although I'm new to the digital stamp world I've already learned so much and no... I'll never not love getting a new stamp set and cracking open that plastic and knowing that it's mine forever... and even should the Zombie Apocalypse occur, and the interweb crashes, and the power goes out, I can still create cute cards by candlelight :) (don't forget The Walking Dead season starts tomorrow night!!). However, there are some really cool things you can do with digital images as well, such as create this Crowd of Cows so easily. Come along on this awesome ride with me and I'll share with you everything I learn. And Craftin Desert Divas isn't just about the digital! They have got a whole bunch of very awesome stamp sets, dies, sequins and other papercrafting supplies that you will need for sure. For instance... I used the Outdoor Landscapes dies on this card for the grass and hills. And the sequins are from the beautiful Sweetness mix in their online shop.
I started in Printshop (although you can use a lot of different programs including Word) and added the image and sized it, duplicated it and arranged my little background crowd so it pleased me. Then I duplicated one more and made that one just a little bigger. I did place her with the crowd so I could decide where I wanted her to be and see how everything else would look around her and then duplicated her in her bigger size and separated that image so I could cut it out. Then I colored, and colored and colored with my Shinhans and a little water color background for the sky. I used the dies to cut the grass and hills and then cut the feet of the background cows so that they could come up and over the grass. Finally, I cut her out, popped her up, added a little liquid glass on her eyes, the balloons and the chick and I think I'm in love.
And my last order came tied in that cute little ribbon that ended up being perfect on this project. The sentiment I created in Printshop. This is the image I used and you can get the free SVG file this weekend because of a special birthday celebration CDD is having:
And hey! Come back again soon for another really cool announcement!
